Hello Loves!!

It's the first day of May! Time is surely passing by quickly. Until I manage getting my life together, I haven't made a lot of time for learning how to use the remote or tripod that came with my camera. I haven't been blessed with someone who willingly jumps at being my photographer, so  I will have to learn soon!

Even though I've had a rough month personally, I have been blessed with a few fascinating career opportunities. In the end, everything happens for a reason. Me being the stubborn Aquarius I am; doesn't really believe that, but I'm going to go with it and not try to control situations that are out of my hand.

I posted a few pics of this outfit on my Instagram today and decided to show it here of what I wore today for dinner and shopping.

 

I actually found this Peter Pilotto dress brand new tags on at Goodwill earlier this week! I couldn't wait to wear it. Target donates every Tuesday to Goodwill so now that is where I will be in all of the Charlotte and surrounding areas.

Target always gets it right on the target!! lol. I find work, evening just about anything when I run into that store and I always love the collections they have.

 

I have to say; I love pink, but when I throw on a shade of red, I feel so vibrant and sexy!!

I loved this dress on Asos website and not so much when it came in the mail, but I finally threw it on after several months of hanging in my closet and I love it. I was thinking about hemming it, but I think it just needs some tailoring.

Hello Loves!!

With moving, toothaches and getting ready to start my new job, nothing was getting in my way of this great Charlotte weather. The weather this year has been very unpredictable and I live for the sun.

I feel like a Reese's cup in this outfit. I've always enjoyed pairing black and brown. I haven't been in the mood to get dressed, but when I threw this together for dinner, I loved it.

I plan on wearing my faux leather dress all year long. The fabric is a little thick, but the wind helped.

I'm learning to put myself on a budget, so this JustFab was my Zara shopper replacement, it's holding up pretty well for 40.00 and holds everything.

Work Woes

This isn't a Fashion related post, but seeing as it's my personal blog I'll do what I want lol.

I haven't been happy with my most recent work environment, it's been quite negative to say the least. I've always been quite blessed when it comes to finding great positions and getting hired and I'm usually the youngest at a company. 

For many reasons, many of the women find my presence to be quite intimidating. Possibly my style, personality or ability to get the job done, I just haven't met the most friendly people. Nasty looks, smart comments some just don't speak at all. Me being who I am, I still came in everyday and gave my best good morning and treated people the way I wanted to be treated, but I was still unhappy.

People say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but I disagree. Your representing yourself, selling yourself to the world and how you carry yourself, shows exactly how you want to feel, be treated and valued. So it's usually easy for me to spot an unhappy person and initially I don't judge I let them show me who they are. 

If I were 35+ and I encountered a younger person in my position, I wouldn't be negative. If my life wasn't where I wanted it to be, I'd push harder. Jealousy is such a ugly trait.

Today was my last day with my current company and in the same breath I was told the news, I was offered another position, that I've always wanted to give a try.

I usually don't share my personal life, but I was thinking and thought I'd let any other fashionable creative soul know; not everyone is going to accept, understand or be happy for God's gift and blessing he has for you, simply, because it wasn't meant for them. 

Nothing will stop me from being me, I'll never dim my light, because it's shining in someone's eyes.

Happy February Loves, This Wednesday, I was blessed to turn 26. Would you believe I purchased 4 birthday dresses? I just love this month, with my birthday and Valentines, I'm sure I will wear the other dresses soon. I purchased this dress from Instagram, it was the last dress I purchased and the one I felt was more appropriate for a weekday. The company was very professional, I ordered the dress on Friday and received it on Monday. The dress is flirty, feminine and fun. My style in a nutshell. I enjoyed my birthday with my parents and finished it off at a great dinner. I'm so blessed to say, I could think of nothing I wanted or needed this year, as I grow older, I reflect on whats most important and try to limit my wants and focus on my needs. Dolled Up

Hello Loves!! It's my first post of the new year! I had to make a deal for one of my friends to snap a few pics of my favorite dress yesterday and the sun choose not to be on it's best behavior either. I went to a comedy club and wanted to wear something casual, yet still sexy. I love a skater skirt or dress and I love the pleating in this dress, I purchased during Thanksgiving.
