Casual Chic

I must admit I am a true "girly girl", I hardly ever wear jeans, sneakers (besides my wedges from Target, I have worn consistently for the last five months) or sweat pants. I did however love when I began to see the sweat pant look, more dressed up last fall; so I gave it a whirl and I loved it. Some days, I do not feel like wearing dresses and skirts; today was one of those days. My best friend came in to town for the weeken; we partied, shopped, went thrifting and had Sunday brunch. Being that it was so gloomy this morning this outfit was perfect. I just love how comfy I was, paired with a simple black t-shirt and my favorite Prabal Gurung heels, I looked and felt like I nailed casual chic today. What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Glam Thrifter

As many of you can probably tell, I love to shop! I love shopping for myself, my home and others, it's just what I do. I also kill for a deal. This entire outfit cost me all of 18.00! I have always had this logic to spend big on bags, coats and shoes. Buying pieces in my ever changing wardrobe can get crazy, which is why I thrift shop. I get about 85% of my wardrobe from thrift shops, what is new was always at one point old; peplum, prints, palazzo pants and short suits, that we see now, have already been siting in my closet, thanks to thrifting. The majority of the clothes, I purchase are new with tags on. The key to thrifting is being patient and persistence, or like my dad would say con-sis-ten-cy!! It excites me to pick pieces that are one of a kind, actual real vintage items. I shop online often too, but only for items I'm drooling over; that can't be found at say Goodwill or Value Village. Thirfting is becoming sort of a trend these days, but I'm a "thrift guru" lol; which is why I named myself Glam Thrifter. I'm a master at thrifting all things; fun, fab and glamorous. I plan on shooting my first Youtube video soon on...thrifting of course!

I hope your enjoying your weekend!

It's almost here..

Just a few snaps from my work look yesterday. As soon as I begin complaining about the weather, in comes the sun, I guess you ask and you receive.  I love color!! I love Spring!! or any other time when it isn't raining or below 70 degrees. When I got dressed, I immediately started pulling out these pieces, I have so many items in my wardrobe, that honestly I could go months without shopping. (oh how I wish I could) All of the items I'm wearing were in my closet, besides the Infinity Scarf, I purchased from Walmart. You can definitely have endless possibilities with this scarf. The skirt and shoes have been sitting in my closet for months, just waiting to live lol. Are you guys out there pulling out the Spring pieces?

Well I hope your enjoying your Tuesday.

Where is Spring???

Even though Charleston, SC is three  hours from where I currently live in Charlotte, NC, the weather is a major change! Charlotte is always so cold, if I were home right now, I'd have on a dress and some flats. I wear color all through the year, that doesn't change, so my American apparel leggings were just a transition, these pants can fit a wide range, I've had them since I was 90lbs bigger. Who doesn't love a fur vest, this was a steal from Alloy for 27.00. I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday.
