This angel of mine is six months today. I'm still finding my "mommy mojo" the happy place between organization and oasis, but loving and caring for you is turning me into a whole new and improved me! You're so busy rolling, talking and showing us your personality that everything is so better by your face and smile. Our family is so blessed to have you in our lives and I know you will do great things, even if my Harvard choice isn't your own, Mommy and Daddy will be there every step of the way!

Dear Braxton

Dear Braxton,

Life is so better because of you! Your father, grandmother, aunt and I headed to the hospital around 11pm on April 28th. I was so ready for you to arrive, I took teaspoons of castor oil and walked our neighborhood, determined to get you out, but after 24 hours of labor you decided you were ready in your true Taurus fashion. You spent ten days in the NICU and I never cried so much in my life, I prayed God would provide me with strength and ensure that you were of great health and he did! Your aunt and your fathers youngest sister gave you your Igbo name; Kamsiyochukwu, which means what I ask of God. I'm not sure how she decided or knew, but I can still remember the time I spoke to God and asked him for a child. I didn't ask for a time, I didn't ask for the gender, but only for him to bless with me being a mother one day. I'm honored and so thankful he gave me exactly what I needed.
Nothing that I did before will ever compare to the life that you've given me. You laugh and smile and we even think you can talk. Your Gigi has never been more happy in her life, I'm sure you've saved us all. I love your father more because of you. I'm learning and applying patience, because of you. I think before I react, because of you. I want to be closer to God and live and be a better person because of you and I will, my son all for and because of you.

New Mommy Alert

Hi Belles!!!!

I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season! I truly have slept and ate the last five months away! As you can see or hopefully tell, I'm going to be a mommy!! God has given me the greatest gift this season, I could never ask for anything more. I'm just over five months and feel I couldn't keep this to myself any longer lol. I've know since I've been five weeks, so it feels like I've been pregnant forever!!! Of course the super girl over here  is receiving a beautiful prince. I feel like this happens often LOL! I know everyone has different pregnancies, but I feel like my boy is going to be very easy going, no morning sickness, we just sleep and eat lol. I've always said, I wanted to have everything off my crazy check list before children, but this joy has brought my family closer, motivated me and allowed me to grow as a woman. I can't wait to share mommy hood on my blog!

Vintage Pants

Hi Belles! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I found these awesome pants a few weeks ago while thrifting and they are really my favorite! They have pockets and a very forgiving elastic waist band so you really can't complain. I just may need ten different fabrics in this style. I paired my 4.00 pants with my favorite Charlotte Russe heels, these are the MOST comfortable heels, I've worn all year. I hope you have a great week.

Well Hello!!! With all this perfect weather, I told myself I was going out to explore Charlotte today and get back in my blogging mojo and let's pray my love for Fashion will overpower my life schedule and survive. Trust me, you'll forgive me in a few months when I'm able to share why this Belle has been out. I hope you enjoyed your extended weekend. I'm wearing a dress and a skirt in this post and with all that my world is bringing, I'll be getting the most out of my wardrobe and using what's in it more often.
